Holy I haven't typed in this thing since...the blog below me. 'Suppose I should fix that...
During literature on Tuesday we were discussing Plato/Socrates' views on exellence and beauty. To be simple, exellence is beautiful because physical beauty is the goodness of nature, etc. The topic of beauty by interpretation came up, after all, personal ideas of exellence will always rule over the universal.
So...what happens when you give birth to a physically and mentally unnattractive child? In the eyes of the parents the child could be special to them, and they find exellence, however is this a love or guilt? I would think it was a guilt, the parents created such a disfunctioning being that will never posses an intellect, or be able to take care of itself, what else is there to do, but love it?
Anywhoot, homework is kicking my hind areas. No matter how far ahead I think I am, the next day I realize CIA is 2430832098 steps ahead of me, ah well

FyuhkI was reading through
Ah, the random inquisitiveness of the human mind. Or...boredome, lack thereof. I was reading through a friend's xanga and it had asked a question concerning God. Is god everything/is everything God? There are so many possible answers to that question it's ridiculous. As the post continues, I'm sure I will become rather off subject, but that's okay....because this is my blog. I refuse to call myself a Christian any longer. I acknowledge the existance of God, however I believe he has more than one form, which would explain the similarities of other religions. If you do your research, all religions are connected in one similar notion, the method(s) of creation. For example, in Egyptian theology, Re created the world by ejaculation, and his first two offspring, were Tefnut and Shu. Tefnut was the god of moisture and wetness, Shu was the goddess of void and air. As each god/goddess procreated, they controlled different elements of the earth. If you pay close enough attention, to the order of the beings and the number of days it took, it's very similar to Christian mythology. There are other obscure religions, such as shamanic practices, that have eerily similar ideas. The point being, God can have more than one form/meaning to a group of people. I don't believe in literal teachings of the ten commandaments. I know what you're thinking 'Another hypocritical Christian who will most likely end up an atheist' which is far from the case. I can't deny the essence of a greater being, however I question his divinity. Where did such a powerful being come from, why would he make such creatures in his likeness? I've so many quams with Christianity it's not even funny. I wonder how many people would still glorify their name when they study the root of Judo-Christian theism. I just wonder.... Anti-religion, Anti-God...not at all. However, I believe having a complete Stoic nature for something that is so supernatural is one of the stupidist attitudes you can have. I believe in intellect and intuitiveness when it comes to such matters. If this wasn't meant to be, we wouldn't have a brain, only souls.
So yesterday I went into Coventree, with some 'friends' and it has a bunch of nifty little stores. I found this one called 'Big Fun' and it's like a mixture of Spencers and vintage stuff (some currencies) it was realllly awesome. I bought some weird looking rings, and a keychain that plays random Stewie (from Family Guy) quotes. For example, "Damn you, vile woman!"...which happens to be my favorite. Must return to my reading....feh.
Yeah guys..college...
I like most of my classes, my favorite one so far is painting (color theory), art history, and ancient literature/philosophy. I'm quite giddy...the kids are another story-mainly the under classmen (freshmen). A lot of people here don't know who they are and are going to extreme lengths to make themselves noticeable. I...am keeping it low, lol. Fuck parties, fuck people....s'all about my education. I've met some cool people, but if they get the way of my future, forget them. I'm here for an education so that I can make money and rule over the rest of you.
